Uncover the Real You

Welcome back to the Dream Life Blueprint—your step-by-step journey to lasting change. If you missed the Intro or Phase One, take a moment to catch up!

In Phase One, you dreamed big and envisioned your ideal future self. Now, in Phase Two, it’s time to take an honest look at your current self—a crucial step in bridging the gap to your dream life.

Why Phase Two Matters
To grow, you need to know where you already align with your ideal self (your strengths) and where gaps remain. This clarity is essential for creating a realistic and effective growth plan.

Goals for Phase Two
1️⃣ Identify Alignment: Spot strengths that already reflect your ideal self.
2️⃣ Spot the Gaps: Pinpoint where growth is needed to reach your vision.

The Process: Taking Stock of Where You Are

→Reflect on Yourself

➢Are your daily choices aligned with your values?
➢Are you showing up as the leader, partner, or friend you aspire to be?
➢How well are you managing stress—and its effects on those around you?

→Recall a “Best Moment”

➢Think of a time you were thriving.
➢What strengths helped you succeed?
➢What about the environment made it possible?

→Gather Feedback
➢Ask 10 people who know you well to describe moments when you were at your best.
➢Look for patterns in their feedback—what strengths and qualities stand out?

Why Focus on Strengths?
A strengths-based approach fuels growth. Research shows it broadens thinking, increases openness, and makes change more effective. Focus on what you want to become—not just what you think needs fixing.

The One Leadership Shift That Transformed My Whole Team
Ownership Isn’t a Trait — It’s a Culture Years ago, I managed a team where two individuals stood out in stark contrast. One took ownership of everything. When problems popped up, they leaned in, asked hard questions, rallied their peers, and solved them—without being asked. The other? Just as smart. Just as capable. But always waiting for direction. They got tasks done—eventually—bu...
Why Your Best Managers Are Quietly Stepping Down
The Leadership Crisis No One’s Talking About Lately, I’ve had more than a few quiet, heavy conversations with tech managers. They’ve made a tough call: They stepped down. Not because they didn’t care. Not because they weren’t capable. But because they were overwhelmed. Their teams had grown. The pressure from above intensified. And their own energy, confidence, and clarity? Runn...
If You’re Doing Everything, Something’s Broken.
When Leadership Breaks, It Looks Like This. There’s a breaking point most tech managers quietly reach. Your calendar is packed. Your inbox is overflowing. You’re fielding every decision, every fire, every blocker. And despite all that effort, the team still isn’t moving the way it should. You’re holding it together—but only just. And somewhere, beneath the surface, the question hits: ...
